DBR worked with RDLR Architects to provide MEP engineering services for a new Public Safety Careers facility for the College of the Mainland in Texas City, Texas. The expansion supports the college’s Fire Protection Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement, and Criminal Justice programs by providing enhanced opportunities for hands-on, real-world training.
The project includes a 33,000 GSF classroom building for instruction and collaborative learning, a 26,000 GSF firing range and vehicle storage facility, a 2,500 GSF training tower, and a 2,700 GSF burn building. Designed in alignment with the campus master plan, the facility expands the program’s capacity while providing realistic training environments that help prepare students for the demands of public service careers.
