Project Spotlight: George R. Brown Convention Center

The George R. Brown Convention Center achieves its first-ever LEED Gold certification! DBR’s Sustainability Department partnered with Houston First Corporation for recertification of GRB in Houston, Texas. Due to the commendable performance of the facility staff, administration, and the upgrade in systems, the 2,000,000 square foot project was able to achieve a rating of LEED Gold for Existing Buildings.

Project Spotlight: Holocaust Museum Houston

The expansion and renovation of Holocaust Museum Houston (HMH) creates the nation’s fourth-largest Holocaust museum and Jewish Cultural Heritage Museum in the country. The expanded facilities allow the museum to significantly broaden its community outreach and impact. PGAL was the architect of record for the project, which received LEED Certification.

Project Spotlight: Will Smith Zoo School

The Will Smith Zoo School is the largest nature-based preschool in the country, where children ages 3-5 will spend more than half the day outdoors and visit the neighboring San Antonio Zoo daily. DBR worked with Lake Flato Architects and Guido Construction to renovate an existing building to create a flexible indoor and outdoor learning environment for up to 220 students.
