DBR provided MEP engineering services for a new single-story Career and Technical Education (CATE) building at Port Isabel Junior High School for Point Isabel Independent School District. Designed by ERO Architects, the 25,000-square-foot facility is tailored to support workforce readiness and serve high school students within the district through programs in health science, engineering, construction trades, and robotics.

The building features modern lab spaces, flexible classrooms, and breakout areas that encourage collaboration and innovation. Designed with security and connectivity in mind, the facility includes secure access points and supports advanced technology infrastructure to enhance both instruction and hands-on training. As a centerpiece of the district’s long-range strategic plan, the $10.6 million project reflects Point Isabel ISD’s commitment to providing students with real-world learning opportunities and pathways to future careers.
