DBR worked with Kirksey Architecture to redevelop Metrocare’s existing ten-acre campus, expanding and enhancing facilities that supported individuals with behavioral health needs and developmental disabilities. Located in Dallas, Texas, the 301,775-square-foot campus redevelopment includes a new 45,146-square-foot one-story clinic, housing behavioral health services for patients of all ages, including dedicated pediatric and adult clinics and an on-site pharmacy. The project also features a 91,443-square-foot Client Services building with Class A administrative office space, a commercial kitchen, a wellness center, and complementary client services, along with a 1,001-square-foot conference center. A 164,185-square-foot parking garage supported the overall campus program.
DBR provided MEP engineering, energy modeling, and LEED consulting services for the project. Sustainable design strategies incorporated solar readiness, electric vehicle charging stations, daylighting, and energy-efficient glazing. The project was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
