DBR is providing MEP engineering services for Comal ISD’s new Life Bridges Facility, a project dedicated to supporting students with special needs as they develop independence and prepare for life beyond school. Designed with input from educators, families, and the community, the facility will include workplace training rooms, apartment-style living areas, a café, a commercial kitchen, a retail lab, and outdoor learning spaces. These features will not only meet educational needs but also foster opportunities for creativity, entrepreneurship, and real-world skill development.
The project recently broke ground, marking an important milestone for Comal ISD and the Life Bridges program. DBR is proud to join VLK Architects, Dunaway, and The Koehler Company in bringing this meaningful vision to life, creating a space that will have a lasting impact on students, families, and the broader community.
