DBR is pleased to announce the addition of Ardas Sabuncuyan, PE, HFDP to our team as Principal and Healthcare Practice Leader, based in our Dallas office. Ardas brings over 30 years of experience in MEP engineering consulting, including more than 15 years dedicated to healthcare projects.
With licensure in 13 states including Texas and a deep technical background in the design of complex healthcare facilities, Ardas will lead DBR’s efforts to expand and strengthen our healthcare market presence. His proven ability to guide multidisciplinary teams, implement strategic quality control standards, and mentor the next generation of engineers makes him a valuable addition to our firm.
Ardas’s experience includes hospitals, medical office buildings, and other patient care environments across Texas, Arizona, and beyond. He has held senior leadership roles at TDIndustries, Jacobs Engineering, and DynaTen Corporation, where he managed complex design-assist and design-build healthcare projects. He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), and the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE).
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yildiz Technical University, an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Dallas, and a certificate in Engineering Leadership from Cornell University. Ardas serves as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate HVAC courses. He is also a member of ASHRAE’s Healthcare Facilities Committee and an active participant in ASHE’s on-demand video training library.
