DBR Announces Four New Partners

We at DBR are passionate about MEP Design, but it is our people that truly make our company unique. We are proud to announce that the following talented individuals recently received promotions. Together they demonstrate their unwavering commitment to excellence and knowledge to our clients.

Kenny Roland, PE

Dallas, Texas

Kenny was born and raised in the suburbs of Kanas City, Kansas. His abilities in math, science, and love of building led him to earn an Architectural Engineering degree from Kansas State University where he also served as an Engineering Ambassador – High School Recruiter. After graduating, he relocated to Houston, Texas to start his career.

Kenny joined DBR full time in 2009 after interning while at KSU. This overachiever would go on to obtain a Masters in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, his engineering license in 2013, and is currently registered in over 11 states. During these achievements, Kenny moved up the ranks at DBR from Plumbing Engineer to Project Manager, and Branch Office Manager for the Dallas office with his “get ‘er done” attitude, visionary outlook, and endless energy. Kenny is now DBR’s youngest Partner.

During his downtime, Kenny cheers on the KSU Wildcats, and Kansas City and Texas professional sports teams. He also enjoys going to concerts and traveling with his wife, Angela, and stepdaughter, Kennedi.

Adam Jones, PE, LEED AP

Houston, Texas

Adam was born and raised in Salina, Kansas. Having been always interested in buildings and engineering, Adam found a perfect fit to major in Architectural Engineering at Kansas State University. He was a member of the Phi Alpha Epsilon (Architectural Engineering Honorary Fraternity). Following graduation, Adam moved to Houston, Texas to begin his career.

After interning for DBR while at KSU, Adam joined DBR full time in 2007 and quickly moved up in the ranks from a Mechanical Engineer, to Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and now a Partner. Adam also leads DBR’s Leadership Committee and is a Board Member of A4LE’s Gulf Coast Chapter.

When not in the office, Adam enjoys playing golf, barbecuing, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas State Wildcats. Adam and his wife, Natalie, are currently expecting a baby girl to join big brother, Myles in September.

Erik MacDonald, PE

Houston, Texas

Erik was born and raised in Argyle, Texas. He admits he chose a major that his parent’s school (UNT) did not provide, so he could attend Texas A&M University. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering and served as Pledge Class President for Tau Kappa Epsilon – Alpha Upsilon.

After graduation, this proud Aggie joined DBR full time in 2004. Erik’s commitment and honesty to give clients and their projects his full attention promoted him from Electrical Engineer to Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and now a Partner with a special leadership role in DBR’s Higher Education market.

When he is not cheering on TAMU sports teams, Erik spends his downtime hunting, golfing, and at one point even trained to become an Ironman in 2014.  Erik is married to wife, Amanda, and has a 10-year-old son, Liam who loves playing video games. What 10-year old doesn’t!

Will Meister, PE

Houston, Texas

Will was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and grew up in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. A high school teacher inspired Will to check out Penn State’s Architectural Engineering department, and he instantly knew it was for him. After graduating from Penn State in 2001, Will was invited to join DBR full time in Houston, Texas following an impressive internship.

Will’s reliability and dedication to our clients’ needs quickly led him from Mechanical Engineer to Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and now a Partner. Will is also co-leader of DBR’s Leadership Committee.

In his spare time, Will is a certified yoga instructor who enjoys cooking and traveling with his wife, Kristen, and adores their dogs, Onomatopoeia “Ona” and Semicolon “Cole” and cats Participle “Party”, Gerund “Geri”, and Pluperfect “Plu.”
