DBR provided MEP engineering design, Energy Modeling and Fundamental Commissioning services for this 13-story, 303,166 square foot office building and parking garage. The building utilizes water-cooled chillers with primary/secondary pumping system to cool the building through variable air volume air-handling units located on each floor. The project was awarded a LEED Gold rating in 2010 and operates under ENERGY STAR standards.

Klein ISD - Blackshear Elementary School
DBR performed Comprehensive Commissioning services for this 116,000 square foot school designed to meet TX-CHPS criteria (Collaborative For High Performance Schools). Blackshear Elementary gives the community a sustainable school with superior indoor environmental quality.  The school's design features rain water and HVAC condensate water collection for site irrigation, management of recyclables, and educational displays including a vegetable garden. The extensive testing of the HVAC system identified issues and confirmed proper operation to ensure a comfortable learning environment prior to the students arrival for the opening week of school.
