With a small office on Mercer Street, David W. Day began his engineering company in 1972, with one employee, his wife, who worked as the company’s bookkeeper. His business grew and in 1985 became Day Brown Rice, Inc., when he added partners Ron Brown and James D. Rice. At that time, they worked on projects in the commercial, retail, educational, and liturgical sectors, and the firm employed only thirteen people.
In 2000, Day, Brown, and Rice promoted three more partners and changed the company name to DBR Engineering Consultants, Inc.
Currently we have more than 100 employees in five offices, including eight partners who lead the firm with candor and the readiness to meet the design needs of a changing world.
